Brittany Doolan
Doctor of Philosophy candidate
Brittany is a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney and iscurrently working at NSW Farmers where she is undertaking a project that aims to enhance farmers’ knowledge of risk management strategies to help them build more resilient and sustainable businesses. As a third-generation farmer from rural NSW, she has experienced first-hand the impact of climate change on farming communities and hopes to empower farmers to actively care for their mental wellbeing. Brittany’s PhD project is centred around the intersection of environmental and mental health, aiming to create a resource that encourages farmers to care for themselves by caring for the environment.
We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and to their Elders past and present.
We are grateful for the leadership of Indigenous scholars and researchers in the climate movement.
Sovereignty has never been ceded. There is no climate justice without First Nations justice.
